At BolaVerse, we respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have regarding your personal data.

BolaVerse is a social football picks game — you compete with friends by making picks before kickoff, earning points, and climbing the leaderboard. It's not a betting or gambling product: no money changes hands, and nothing here should be confused with wagering.

Information we collect

We collect the information needed to run leagues, calculate scores, and keep your account secure:

• Account details — your username, email address, and profile picture.
• Picks & league activity — the picks you make, the leagues you join or create, and your points and leaderboard standing.
• Basic usage data — technical and in-app usage information that helps us keep BolaVerse running smoothly.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Operate the app and calculate leagues, leaderboards, and points.
• Personalize your experience across competitions and leagues.
• Communicate important updates, such as league activity or account and security notices.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Data may be shared with service providers, such as Firebase, strictly to operate the app — for example, hosting your account data or sending push notifications.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time from Settings, directly in the app.

Your rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), data protection law gives you rights over your personal data, including the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Delete your data, including by deleting your account from Settings.
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing.

You can exercise these rights at any time from Settings, or by contacting us at support@bolaverse.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children's privacy

BolaVerse is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.

Governing law & legal compliance

BolaVerse is currently operated by an individual based in France. This Privacy Policy is intended to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). References to UK data protection law do not currently apply unless you access BolaVerse from the UK. If BolaVerse is incorporated, or expands to new jurisdictions, in the future, this section will be updated accordingly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll let you know in the app before they take effect.
